During calm, foggy weather the administration announces an NMU regime. Enterprises of the Eastern Industrial Zone reduce emissions, and road works with bitumen stop. Parents are advised to keep small children indoors on NMU days.

The heating season began on 10 October 2026. Residents of the Mikrorayon Estates with cold radiators should contact their management company first, then the city dispatch service 0-58.

Because of repairs to the contact network on Vokzal Square, trolleybus route 3 runs to the railway station by the temporary loop on Zavodskaya street until 15 November.

After the appeal of the dacha cooperatives' union, signed by some 4,000 dacha owners, the summer irrigation schedule of the cooperatives has been restored.

By decree of the Governor, Vadim Igorevich Shcherbakov has been appointed Head of the Nurzhan City Administration. Since 2015 he was deputy head for the city economy.

The heating mains repair programme for 2016 has been agreed with the staff of the city heating enterprise. Work on the Dastgoh main begins in May.

The new city council held its first session.
